Additional Works

In advance of the future non-stop motorway, a number of short term upgrade initiatives have recently been completed or are occurring along or adjacent to South Road. These include:

South Road / Ashwin Parade intersection [$6.8 million], completed April 2015
South Road / James Congdon Drive intersection [$8.8 million], completed February 2016
South Road / Richmond Road intersection [$11 million], completed December 2015
Park Terrace / Fitzroy Terrace / Torrens Road intersection and midblock sections, completed December 2015
Marion Road / Sturt Road intersection completed February 2016
Kings Road / Bolivar Road intersection realignment to be completed by October 2016
St Kilda Road / Robinson Road intersection at Waterloo Corner to be completed by October 2016
